Grove Design has a history of developing ergonomic, user-friendly equipment, but in this field we also display our ability to push equipment design to different levels so that whole new markets and a broader range of users can be reached.

Product

The brief started out as a request to design a Pilates exercise machine to match the best in the field. Grove Design looked at the market and scope for intellectual property and came up with concepts that offered a new approach whilst retaining the fundamental ethos of the system.

The resulting Reform RX provides the user with familiar exercises combined from more than one existing machine, but presents them in a modern, more easily accessed, and involving way. For the first time in the field, the machine includes full monitoring of activity and engagement with elite instructors around the world.

The durability of the machine has been tested and proved on testing equipment designed and run by Grove Design. The machine has been subjected to millions of cycles of operation to show that all elements are fit for purpose.

Through their experience running their own classes in their own studios, Reform knew what a class could be. They were ready to choose - to specify - the perfect machine from the developing ideas presented by Grove Design.
