David E. T. Garman Concepts Ltd. is one of the legacies of David E. T. Garman OBE. David E. T. Garman Concepts Ltd. owns the international I.P. relating to the AIR CRADLE® Transfer System. David invented and manufactured the world's first portable powered bath lift, as well as a range of other patient lifting and handling equipment now used internationally in private homes, day centres, hospitals and care homes, and by ambulance services and emergency responders.

David founded an internationally successful company selling his products but later in life he wanted to develop what he insisted would be his best product ever and with the help of Grove Design the AIR CRADLE® Transfer System was born. Product

The AIR CRADLE® Transfer System is a revolutionary alternative to hoists and slings, using low air pressure and a unique inflatable seat, to safely move people with limited mobility. Working with David E. T. Garman Concepts Ltd. (see aircradle.co.uk), Grove Design developed a product that can transfer the user from surface to surface, or smoothly transition them between seated, lying or standing positions. This is particularly important for people who are not able to be hoisted due to their physical limitations, or simply find hoisting to be stressful or uncomfortable or who want a more dignified way of moving.

Grove Design designed and developed a cost-effective solution that is easily operated, and easy to clean, store and transport. Utilising pneumatics and low pressure air compression, Grove Design created a solution that is safe, durable, and comfortable. The Air Cradle is complemented by a low pressure compressor.  This is quiet and includes a function that cycles the pressure level that adds to the comfort during use.
